Paralympic gold medalist shares her love of fitness with mothers to be.
Marie Claire Bilyk, Paralympic gold medalist, world record breaker, and the first athlete with a disability to qualify for the Canadian University Swimming Championships, is now offering specialized fitness classes for London's expectant moms. Since retiring from swimming in 1999, Marie Claire has earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition, married, and had two children. She is now launching her own small business, Blossom Fitness & Nutrition, which offers specialized fitness opportunities for pregnant women and new mothers. The one hour fitness classes also include a 30 minute discussion component where Marie Claire shares valuable information about nutrition, health, birth, and parenting. Although her focus has changed from sport to business, Marie Claire's commitment to excellence remains the same.
