Blossom Prenatal Aquafit Classes are London’s ONLY prenatal aquafit classes! The Blossom Prenatal Aquafit Program is not just a fitness class, it’s a complete package, aimed at supporting YOU in your efforts to have:

One affordable registration fee includes:
- 8 x 45 minute aquatic workouts designed to: boost your cardiovascular fitness, increase your lean muscle mass, and improve your flexibility. These physical benefits can enhance your endurance during the birthing process, help to alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy, and enhance fat loss after pregnancy
- A 30 minute prenatal discussion before each workout. Topics include prenatal nutrition, birth preparation, the science of babywearing, approaches to infant sleep, and more!
- 1 Relaxation CD – Meditations for Pregnancy & Childbirth
- A two hour Comfort Measures Class taught by an experienced Doula

"Why is aquatic exercise so beneficial for pregnant women?"
In addition to the overall benefit of exercise to your heart, lungs, muscles, and joints, water exercise has some special benefits for your pregnant body.
- Cool Water helps keep your body temperature within safe limits while exercising
- Buoyancy reduces joint stress and allows for a greater range of motion
- Turbulence created by your body's movement through the water: massages your skin, improves circulation, and reduces tension and pain
- Hydrostatic Pressure pushes against your pregnant body and: stabilizes muscles and joints, reduces or eliminates swelling (edema) in feet, ankles, and legs, reduces varicose veins
"When?"
Thursday evenings, 6:45 - 8:15pm (1½ hours).
And/or consider joining Blossom Prenatal Yoga on Monday or Tuesday evenings!
Prenatal Aquafit Classes run in 8 week sessions:
- Fall 1: September 10 - October 29
- Fall 2: November 12 - January 14 (no class December 24 & 31)
- Winter: January 21 - March 18 (no class February 18)
- Spring: April 1 - May 20
- Summer: June 3 - July 29, (no class July 1)
*During the summer session of Prenatal Aquafit, classes run on Thursday evenings for the first 4 weeks, then on June 30, they switch to Wednesday evenings for the remaining 4 weeks. Also, the time of the Wednesday evening class is 45 minutes earlier, from 6:00-7:30pm.
"Where?"
The Aquaplex at the Boys and Girls Club of London is a beautiful, new pool located at 184 Horton St., on the North side of Horton, just East of Richmond St.
The Aquaplex pool is kept within the safe and recommended temperature range for prenatal exercise. The pool is also equipped with an entry/exit ramp to help you get into and out of the pool in comfort and safely.
"Cost?"
Prenatal Aquafit Classes run in 8 week sessions:
- $100 / 8 week session (taxes included)
- Payment is due on the first day of class
- Payment is made in cash or cheque made payable to Marie Claire Bilyk
- Fees are adjusted to accommodate your due date.
